What is SIEVE-MK?

Essentially, SIEVE-MK is an educational initiative that provides to young people complementary teaching and learning support in addition to traditional school and other government educational programmes. We provide a supervised learning environment where students can be guided by experienced teachers into greater competence and achievement levels in their school work, through the use of hands on information and communication technology resources, and additional help through personal tutoring in specialist subjects.

Our Objective

Our objective is to teach these young people through a combined system of formal as well as informal methods of study, to gain an improved understanding of the requirements of their core subjects. Beyond this, we also aim to teach them by motivation and inspiration. These are essential and none negotiable qualities for success in life, and by so doing bring about the desired transformation necessary to position them as 'Leaders of Tomorrow'.

Our Focus

Currently due to space constraints, we are primarily focused in our selection of participant range to youngsters in the school years 10 and 11. This is the group of students at the preparation stage for their GCSE examinations, which are highly important for their academic future. Our plan to assist other categories of students with enhancing their academic skills is still receiving attention.

Our Team

The SIEVE-MK team is made up of the management board, the teaching staff and the academic support team. All the team members are security cleared to ensure that they are eligible to be around children and other vulnerable individuals.
